The Black Business Tour is pleased to announce it's 4th installment! It's the fall cool down as we continue our journey through art, culture, and style in theBlack community; that which has become synonymous with The Black Business Tour. This event is a collection of pop-up experiences that embodies the spirit of African American culture and education, leaving a lasting impression through displays of supporting these businesses. Sample a taste of what to expect on our tour below with much more to offer!
A glorious morning starts at Koulè Farm, nestled in the Northwest corner of Altadena's Arroyo Blvd area. Indulge in an exclusive, not yet-open-to-the-public, experience of samplings during an education on sustainable living through growing crops at the Black-owned, woman-owned farm. Pickled jars of jam and other delights with be available for cash-only purchase.
Lost Domestic Arts will teach a $7 basket-weaving class with materials provided and a small basket as a take home souvenir highlighting your craftiness.
We will enjoy dining and live entertainment at Perry's Joint, best known for their ability to bring the community together over gourmet hand-crafted sandwiches. After lunch, we will shop with boutique gem April Blooms, who has an eclectic mix of fashion within a variety of women's sizes! The layout of the store is certain to have you embracing your unique you with a simple flair of style.
Our final stop to the east will land us at the shops on Lake Avenue where we will cupcake and wine at the Ayanna Listenbee Studio, meet the leather designer, and tour her creative workspace and showroom where the magic happens and inspiration abounds! Ayanna Listenbee creates Luxury handbags & life goods for the chic and discerning woman.
The afternoon will wind down with brilliant artist Marco of Masterminds Connect who will provide an art display of original pieces and reprints with art centered around the beauty of blackness.
