The Black Business Tour: Art, Culture & Style of L.A.!

  • Various Locations Manhattan Beach, Windsor Hills, Leimert Park Los Angeles USA (map)

Ride. Shop. Dine. TOUR!

We're back with our 2nd installment of The Black Business Tour and we're doing it even BIGGER and BETTER! Join us as we take a deeper dive into the wonderful world of the arts, culture and style and note how Black communities have harmoniously connected them beautifully throughout the city!

Our tour will focus on the culture of Los Angeles centered around artisan style, and a blend of fine art and pratical services. We will start our morning at The Souk in Manhattan Beach, which transprts us to a land of Tunisian hand-crafted gems that are sure to be one-of-a-kind design items for unique tastes and chic urbanity.

By this time, we are certain to be hungry.. Let's eat! We will stop off for lunch at Brooklyn Deli in Leimert Park. Their deli style sandwhiches are sure to hit the spot at the perfect moment.

From there we'll walk over and take in amazing fine art through photography at the new digs of J3 Collection Studio, whose owner has captured the essence of many notables including jazz great Kamasi Washington, RB artist Miguel and sultry singer Jhene Aiko. We will chat with the Leimert owners about their experiences surviving gentrification all while providing a fresh perspective through being anchored during times of change. Then, we will stop by Leimert's 1st Black-owned full-service bike shop which features bikes for rent and sale as they arrive from their monthly community ride. We'll have a chance to learn about the re-emergence of Black bicycle culture in L.A.

We will whisk to Windsor Hills and drop by Kutula and hear the amazing story of 2 American sisters of African heritage, who took over the boutique in the wake of their mom's retirement after 40 years back to her homeland. In just under 2 years these ladies have managed to insert their remix of style, brand and extreme vogue throughout the boutique. Their handmade, couture and well-constructed men/women's African-inspired fashion have been seen on the red carpets of BET and the Espys, the sets of Marvel, and on stars of INSECURE and the OWN Network.

Our time in Windsor Hills will start to wind down but not before we happen upon Audacity Studio just next door. Their full-service men's haberdashery & grooming salon speaks of exquisite taste and detailed flavor. Men will have an interactive experience with style demonstrations from the owners and available quick minute touch up services, specially curated around our tour date.

We will responsibly toast in purposeful support of recycling Black dollars during our day of Art. Culture, & Style.

See you on the bus!
